Objective
The primary goal of the field test was to evaluate the usability of our devices in collaboration with the security committee of the Jatin Das Durga Puja festival in Kolkata. During the test, the devices were provided to civic volunteers and security personnel to monitor crowd activities during pandal visits, manage crowd flow, and enhance overall surveillance. This evaluation aimed to assess the devices’ effectiveness in assisting security measures and ensuring the safety and smooth functioning of the festival.
Methodology
The surveillance exercise involved the distribution of 25 prototypes among civic volunteers and security personnel. These individuals integrated the devices into their daily routines, wearing them while performing their duties during the event. The prototypes captured video feeds, which were streamed and monitored in real-time from the control center through our centralized dashboard. This methodology allowed for comprehensive and continuous surveillance of the festival grounds, ensuring enhanced security and crowd management throughout the event.
Result
The outcome of the event, was met with high appreciation. The utilization of our devices proved to be immensely beneficial for the security personnel, enabling them to efficiently monitor the crowd and respond promptly to any improper incidents that arose during the festival. The audio calling feature facilitated seamless communication between the security personnel and the control center, streamlining their coordination and ensuring swift response to emerging situations. One of the key highlights of the devices was the hands-free feature, which significantly enhanced the security personnel’s operations. With hands-free functionality, the personnel were able to carry out their duties with unrestricted mobility, allowing them to focus entirely on their tasks without the hindrance of holding or handling devices manually. The positive feedback received from the security personnel further emphasized the devices’ effectiveness in bolstering the overall security and surveillance measures at the Jatin Das Durga Puja festival. The successful deployment of our devices played a pivotal role in ensuring a safe and well-managed event, providing valuable insights for future security planning and enhancing the festival’s overall safety and experience.
